Gulf Oil Spill Deep Horizon BP Prediction

Contacting friends and listening to both the information the media is presenting and the information that is direct from the Gulf I am making the following predictions for the next year:

1. We are going to find that more than 100,000 gallons per day have been flowing into the Gulf of Mexico from the Deep Horizon BP Oil Rig.

OIL SPILL JUNE 13 BP GULF OF MEXICO

JUNE 13 GULF OF MEXICO OIL SPILL

2. As the oil spill foot print moves down the coast and starts dominating the environment it enters people are going to have to evacuate the area for an extended time.

3. Home owners within five miles of the beach will be forced to leave due to the overwhelming fumes and therefore will become a class action against BP, BP will be forced into bankruptcy as thousands of homeowners will seek direct and indirect costs of carrying their existing debts and cover the costs of temporary housing as well as punitive damages.  This is going to be in the hundreds of billions of dollars.

4. As the spill continues down the coast of Florida the scenario above will replay itself over and over with some of the most expensive communities in America devastated.

We are looking at three or four years of clean up initially and an impact lasting fifteen to twenty years.

Openbravo POS Development – End of Day

I have been working on a end of day report for openbravo pos – I could not find a way to summarize all the activity of the day in one clean report…

Click this link to see a pdf of the report rptEODSales

I would appreciate any input on what you think should be included or removed from the report.  We are currently working on a comment window for Openbravo POS v 2.30 that provides a comment window and the ability to attach images to a line item for reporting with evidence.

Sea bass en papillote

Sea bass en papillote

Serves 4

Ingredients

    1/4 cup almonds
4 sea bass or halibut fillets, each 5 ounces and about 1-inch thick
    1 small tomato, diced
    1/4 cup minced yellow onion
    1 tablespoon olive oil
    4 teaspoons dry white wine
1 tablespoon chopped fresh flat-leaf (Italian) parsley
    2 teaspoons chopped fresh thyme
1/2 teaspoon saffron threads, steeped in 2 tablespoons hot water
1/2 teaspoon each salt and freshly ground white pepper

Directions

Put the almonds in a food processor and process to the consistency of fine bread crumbs. Set aside.

Preheat the oven to 400 F. Cut 4 15-inch squares of parchment (baking) paper. Fold 1 square in half to create a crease, then open up. Place 1 fillet next to the crease. Repeat with the remaining squares and fillets.

Top each fillet with 1/4 of the tomato, onion, almond meal, olive oil, wine, parsley, thyme, saffron, and salt and white pepper. Working with 1 square, fold the paper over the fish and vegetables, then fold the edges several times, crimping to seal the packet completely. Repeat to make 3 more packets. Place the packets on a baking sheet.

Bake until the paper is starting to brown, about 15 minutes. (If the fillets are thin, bake for 12 minutes.) Place the packets on plates. To serve, slit an X in each packet and fold open.

Food Matters More Than You Think

food_glance

So we have all heard the quote “you are what you eat”, well along those lines I have had the opportunity to work with researchers pushing the envelope on what food and nutrition really means to our bodies.  Today I can confidently say that we have less nutrition in our foods than we have ever had and that number is continuing to decrease.

The attack on our food supply is not simple, easy to identify or overt.  In terms of where the attack began I would say it is one of those changes that over time make inroads to our society then when no one screams it becomes a norm.  The attack came in the form of mass farming for profit at the expense of the quality of the food delivered to the consumer as well as time to market issues allowing our food to be harvested before it is ready and allowing it to become ripe off the vine.  These changes along with issues with soil quality and trace minerals have led to extreme changes in the nutrition we derive from our consumption.

Where does this leave us?

Well in the long run it has provided a steady stream of patients with degenerative conditions – cancer and diabetes being the most evident.

The good news is that with drastic changes an individual can turn things around.

- you can garden and tend to your families needs directly.

- you can make every effort to buy from farmers markets and speed the time from the vine to the table.

- you can look for those foods higher in nutritional content and become healthier simply by eating more quality foods.

Should your situation be more critical there are physicians working with patients to deliver the highest quality nutrition in a more clinical form to provide a more massive amount to your system quickly.

Building An Integrated Cancer Treatment Program

Building An Integrated Cancer Treatment Program

Through The Best Use Of Orthodox, Complementary And Alternative Cancer Therapies

Image montage

In one of the first editions of icon, we ran a centrefold entitled “Cancer – Your 15 First Steps”. We received hundreds of telephone calls from people eager to build themselves an integrated treatment programme that gave them the best odds of survival. Some of the steps had been unknown to them or their advisors.

Open quotesRemember, on average, three out of four people win the battle with cancerClose quotes

We continue to receive phone calls at icon from people who want to do more than simply rely on ‘orthodox’ treatments, however excellent these may be. But right up front we wish to make two points crystal clear:

1. We are advocates of well-researched, integrated Complementary and Alternative Treatments in order to give patients the very best chances of beating this terrible disease. On this website you will find objective comment on a variety of therapies, with research evidence if it exists. We will always try to separate fact from mythology, research evidence from overclaim and speculation. Cancer patients (and their supporters and advisers) need information sources they can trust.

2. We aim merely to lay out the options, not to pass judgement on which you should choose. Our view is that there is so much information and knowledge about what can work, but that a great deal of it is neither collected properly nor passed on. We feel that an important part of this magazine is to pass on the facts about what can help you in your quest to increase your chances of survival

Your First 15 Steps Cover

Accordingly, we decided to build a service for cancer patients in two parts:

(a) A book of no more than 100 pages that would give them a simple guide on how to plan such a programme.

(b) A consultancy service of doctors, nurses, biochemists, nutritionists plus complementary therapists, purely to explain the options available in an objective way and provide information with reference to its sources.

The former is called “Cancer - Your First 15 Steps” and includes the Active8 programme; eight practical things every cancer patient must focus on.

The latter is a unique service we have launched in 2006 – a personally tailored information service for you and your cancer. It is called a Personal Prescription and it will provide you with the information you need to build your own integrated programme of Complementary therapies around your doctor’s expertise. And it will give you access to all manner of relevant information saving you months of searching around the net.

Open quotesBe determined. Don’t be a victim. Be
a victor.Close quotes

But our grandest long-term scheme is that ideally we want all doctors in the country to give out the book “Cancer – Your First 15 Steps” at the moment of diagnosis – that’s a mission of CANCERactive. Who knows? One day perhaps, we can only hope.

You’ve been diagnosed with cancer, amidst the fear, the unknown and even the cold panic you need to give yourself the best chance of winning the battle.

Remember, on average, three out of four people do.

Don’t be average. Be much better than that.

Be determined. Don’t be a victim. Be a victor.

Research shows that those people who build a total, holistic programme, have good support, people who fight – these people build themselves a 60 per cent extra survival advantage.

A: The Basics

1:

Get a buddy

Do not tackle this problem alone; find a fit healthy caring family member or friend you will help you throughout. Someone you can talk with, who will help find out things for you; someone who wants the best for you. Someone who will ensure you go to all your treatments.

2:

Seek knowledge

There’s a saying ‘knowledge is power’. In cancer, it can be the difference between life and death. Seek information and knowledge.

Have an open mind and look for hard data on effacacy.

3:

Work with your doctor

Your doctor should be your best ally as you seek the very best programme of treatment for yourself. Tell him what you want to achieve, and ask him to participate fully – if he doesn’t know the facts and benefits of a complementary therapy, ask him to be honest with you, not dismissive of it.

4:

Get a second opinion

It’s your life and there is never one way of treating the cancer. Maximise your information and your options.

Open quotesResearch shows that those people who build a total, holistic programme, have good support and who fight build themselves a 60% extra survival advantageClose quotes
5:

Write a plan

Start to prepare a good plan. What treatment and when – the best course of action? Write it down and discuss it with your buddy and your doctor. When you are happy with it – give it 110 per cent commitment.

6:

Be prepared to change

Something about your lifestyle, diet or living habits may well have ‘triggered’ this cancer. If you don’t vow to change, there is no reason why the cancer will not return at some stage. Also, how can you find the solution if you don’t address the problem?

7:

Find out if your cancer is hormonally driven

Men (yes really) and women often have solid tumours that are hormonally responsive. Prostate, breast, colon cancers and melanoma are examples.

At the root is excess oestrogen – even in men – and much can be done to cut oestrogen and its mimics out of your life. You can find out more with another of our mini books ‘Oestrogen – the killer in our midst

8:

Oxygenate your cells

Exercise and deep-breathing fresh air will get oxygen to your cancer cells. And they hate it!

9:

Detoxify your cells

Look for the possible cause of your cancer; Smokingdiesel fumes, radon, radiation, viruses, parasites, mercury, pesticides, herbicides, sunshine etc.

Stop poisoning your cells. Cut salt and dairy; build potassium and magnesium foods. Alkalise your body.

10:

Control your weight

Fat stores toxins, and fatter people are more toxic. Research shows clearly that being overweight is linked to more illness, more cancer and a shorter life.

11:

Love your immune system

12:

Kick out the parasites

Top clinics in Britain and America are adamant. Cancer patients always have a parasite; it could be a fluke, but more likely a microscopic microbe, a virus, bacterium or a yeast especially candida – and that goes for men or women.

Open quotesThere’s so much information out there – don’t die of ignoranceClose quotes
13:

Boost your body energy

The Russian, Kirlian, has taken pictures of individual human auras, and NASA scientists have done endless research, yet your doctor may be totally ignorant, or dismissive of chakras and body energy.

Acupuncturists and Cranial Osteopaths can help you, healers and Reiki masters too. Your body energy is totally linked to your brain, your hormones and the physical state of your cells. Ignore it at your peril.

14:

Surround yourself with warmth and happiness

Surround yourself with positive people – lose the negative ones. This is your new support group. Watch comedy shows and your favourite programmes. Laugh. Make 5 new friends.

Tufts Cancer Centre noticed that patients with a God survived seven times longer – does this fact need explaining?

15:

Find the real you

Change your mind set. Be true to yourself. What do you want to do with your life when you’ve beaten the cancer? OK. So go on and do it. What are you waiting for?

Be true to yourself. Be true to your soul - the real you.

Tijuana Cancer Clinics in 2009

Cancer is on a constant rise in this country and the powers that be still suggesting the only treatments are toxic chemotherapy, toxic radiation or surgery I hope we are all becoming skeptical. Tijuana Mexico has the reputation today of a place in total chaos, and at the moment it deserves this, however the cancer clinics and doctors there have a worldwide perspective on cancer care and much greater access to alternatives.

I have been traveling back and forth to the clinics in Tijuana for just over two years now and would like to take a stab at any questions you might have about the facilities… first I will provide here a quick synapses of the ones I have visited recently -
First my favorite and why – International Bio Care Hospital in downtown Tijuana, easy to get to less than a 15 minute drive from the border based on traffic in a good part of town just down the street from the Tijuana Grand Hotel and very near the Caliente Casino. IBC has a great past and a very promising future under the leadership of Dr. Rodrigo Rodriquez although it recently lost one of its very best assets Dr. Henriquez the Hospital still has a very dedicated staff. I have worked with Dr. Dan Rogers, a visiting Doctor to IBC. The facilities are always spotless and the cafeteria is very affordable and has a great healthy menu. I understand the prices are high compared to other facilities but for those looking for great care and cutting edge techniques this is on the top of the list.

Best known is the Oasis of Hope in Playas de Tijuana out on the Beach it is roughly 30 minutes from the border and very nice. They practice a more western style of integrated therapy now and are embracing this more day by day. This is the birthplace of Laetrile therapy. As I understand the prices are comparable to IBC and high compared to other clinics.

CHIPSA – pretty much shut down at the present time although a very large facility in the Playas – Beach area.

Hospital de Santa Monica – Shut down.

San Diego Clinic – Run by Dr. Filberto Munoz I have heard good and bad about the clinic. Dr. Munoz is a very knowledgeable doctor and immunologist.

Stella Maris Clinic – Dr. Gilberto Alvarez runs a very nice clinic with more affordable prices.

Sanoviv Health Retreat – A very nice facility a little further down the coast I would say 1 hour from the border if you know exactly how to get there. This is more like a four star hotel with hospital services and is very pricey.

I understand that Kurt Donsbach, PhD is now practicing at Bioscience Institute an office inside of one of the hospitals downtown just across the border.  He is now shut down and under arrest in San Diego.

Couple of the Doctors I have worked with in the past:

Dr. Dan Rogers http://www.gersonplus.com
Dr. Soren Nielson http://www.cancer-smart.net

I will be glad to answer any specific questions to the group.
